Standard 10 1936.
This little Standard 10 arrived in the village of Sherfield English Romsey to a family who owned the village store, which was 83 years ago, where they used it for many years. As time went on the daughters father passed away, so the car remained stored in the garage for many years until she asked a friend of the family, who also lived in the village and had fond memories of the car as a young boy. He jumped at the chance to have it and restore it as the daughter was moving up country with her family. So over a period of a few years, he restored what needed to be done. There is too much to list but he made an excellent job of this lovely old car. He had the car approx 15 years and the vendor was involved with the car collecting parts ect. The day came when he also retired and down sized, so the vendor took the car over so it still remained in the village.
The vendor has owned it for approx 7 years and has been a great little car for going to a few shows and Sunday drives out. Its in excellent condition and it is a really good two tone combination colour of black and marron. It is all original throughout and it still has its lovely old original leather interior. The vendor now feels its time for this little car to have a new owner and hopefully enjoy many happy years of motoring as they all have. The vendor has spoken to the previous owner and he is happy to speak to anyone who wants to know anymore history regarding the car - Please contact Barons for the previous owners number.
This is a rare opportunity to own this vehicle, which has never left the village. In a frame is the old buff log book, old petrol coupon books, old tax disc, old original photos when it was in the shed, and photos of the car when the previous owner finished it.
