BSA Starfire 1970 offered for sale in good condition. This bike is a sort after model, as it has a square barrel.

The previous owner purchased the vehicle in 2015, when the vehicle was not in running order as it had been in a motor museum in Japan for about 30 years. After purchase, the BSA owners Club verified the vehicle and provided a dating certificate and vehicle report. The bike had only done 28,367kms and was in very original condition with only slight damage to the tank. The bike was cleaned and rebuilt keeping as much of the patina as possible. The waxy solution used by the museum had penetrated the engine internals so the pistons, crank bearings, oil pump, clutch plates and carburettor were all replaced and for future reliability am electronic ignition system was also fitted. The speedo was also converted to 17,729 miles and fuel tank was repaired and repainted, with an exact colour match to the original. When completed, the bike had an MOT test and an application was made to the DVLA for an age-related registration number and V5 certificate. The previous owner used the bike regularly for 5 years and it performed well and still runs and rides well.
