Reliant Scimitar SE4 Straight Six 1966 offered for sale in good condition. The paintwork is blistered and dull but the body is still sound.

These SE4 Straight Six Cars are very rare and this pretty rebodied Sabre Six designed by Ogle was the first ever Scimitar and was launched at the 1964 Motor Show. There are only a handful of these left on the road and at Scimfest 2024, which celebrated their 60th anniversary, there were only 2 examples present.

HON437D is car number 78 and is documented on the RSSOC Register. The current vendor purchased the vehicle as a non runner and has carried out a light restoration of the car to get it on the road, without changing its undoubted charm. Work carried out included: brake and suspension overhaul, new clutch and overdrive, chassis repair clean and paint, and a new battery and full service.

This vehicle has had an interesting life, including two previous registrations, all of which is detailed along with most of the owners going back to a copy of the old style green log book. This car has flared arches on the back due to the wider SE5 rear axle, which we believe to have been done for some sort of minor motor sport.

Back in the 90's Chris Lloyd of Scimitar Services virtually rebuilt the car, including a full engine rebuild and this is all detailed in a hand written report and invoice by Chris himself. The car come with details of the costs and the recent work, together with a vast array of older bills and MOTs.

If you want a rare, sound, original GT car from the 60's, that you can use all year round and enjoy driving, then this car offers you nostalgia and character in bucket loads.
