The 1965 Jaguar Series1 E-Type Roadster offered here was subject to a restoration in around 2006 in the USA. The car has several upgrades which include a 5 speed gearbox, ventilated rear discs, front four pot brake conversion, wider Daytona wire wheels, beige Mohair hood, uprated radiator, brass header tank, and other minor upgrades. It has also been fitted with recent new tyres and a replacement alternator. A new MoT is being carried out prior to the auction to give the buyers confidence
The engine was replaced at the time of restoration with a similar period 4.2 XK unit, which runs very well. The restoration has held up well with just a few minor marks and blemishes which could soon be put right. Some history of the car can be found here.
