Sunbeam Rapier 1966 manual with overdrive 1725cc offered for sale. Restored many years ago with trophies and rosettes to show how well this car was finished. Registration number was a private plate by a previous owner with the said initials, and worked as an Ambulance driver hence the 999.

This is a very good example of this Marque; it was restored many years ago to a high standard and comes with the trophies to prove this. The first owner had the private plate put on the car of ACR 999B as ACR were his initials and he was an ambulance driver. The car comes with an MOT with no advisories to show it is roadworthy and with a handwritten 1500-word letter from its owner of 38 years detailing its history who was a Rootes group trained mechanic and restoration company CEO. The history also has a number of articles in three major car Magazines 1990x2 and 1996. He personally undertook a Full Engine ‘Strip and Rebuild’ Overhaul. This is probably the most molly-coddled Rapier in the country – a very special Rapier indeed. Immaculate original interior, under the bonnet, and in the boot.  A copious history detail includes a number of hand-written mileage notebooks from fastidious owners, and a detailed list of works undertaken.

£4,000.00 invoice (enclosed) from 2022; includes new tyres, new battery, Clutch, brake pads and shoes, spark-plugs, hoses and so very, very much more. The car did have a Bare-metal respray (except roof, believed to be original). This is a rare chance to purchase one of these superb Sports Saloons with substantial history and ready to enjoy.

Please see video below, also another recent upload here focusing on the door shut quality, engine bay and boot
