MGB GT 1968 Offered for sale in Pale Primrose which really suits the GT models. The vehicle comes with an MOT and being described by the vendor as Mechanically all up together, requires some paint rectification.

The Vendor purchased this car just over two years ago as a running restoration. Sadly, no longer has the time to do it justice, so it's time for it to pass to a new owner.  The car has always started on the button and very reliable, never broken down, drives very well and is fast.  The oil pressure is good at 60-65 psi @ 1500 RPM.  The only mechanical issue I'm aware of is that the heater valve doesn't always close fully, but a new replacement valve is supplied with the car, that just needs fitting.  The MOT, with no advisories, expires 27th April 2025.  A used four speed box with overdrive has been fitted to replace the original non-overdrive unit  The solenoid has been replaced with new.  Inertia reel belts have replaced the original fixed belts.  I've fitted door mirrors, hazard lights, a modern retro-look FM radio with remote control, blue tooth and auxiliary, USB and SD card inputs as well as a centre console.  Some carpets and underlay have been replaced, as have the original air filters (retained with the car) with K & N units. The door and rear window cappings have been removed for renovation but this task is not completed. The original cappings are included with the car, as are new front window weatherstrips to be fitted.  I acquired used replacement reclining front seats with headrests to replace the original seats.  The passenger seat has been fitted.  Unfortunately, It was  discovered that the driver's seat frame was broken and therefore it is included but not fitted.  It should be a relatively easy fix, and I have included a metre length of 15mm steel tube for the purpose.  Both of the original seats are included in the sale.

This MG now needs someone with the time and most basic of skills to take it forward. It has a current MOT with no advisories to 27th April 2025.  Not much is known of the history before acquisition but there is a thick folder of bills since Purchase.
