Jaguar 3.8 S Type Manual with Overdrive, 1965 Saloon in need of full restoration. This one owner car was Originally factory Black and we are unsure when the colour was changed but it is Red on the old style V5. Removed from the road due to a head gasket failure, work was started with the car in a garage at the rear of the house, the cylinder Head was removed and then illness stopped the work. The head and ancillaries are with the car as are a large number of spares that were accumulated by the late owner over many years. It has been standing for a number of years and was removed from the garden after clearing the growth around it. It is remarkably good inside with the leather seats a bit dry but overall, in good order. Remember this is a ONE owner car from new, All synchro manual with overdrive and later stronger 3.8l engine, wire wheels, and the difficult to find rear windscreen chrome are still there. There is rust, the brakes were seized, but towing the car out got the wheels rolling, the tyres do not hold air for long and are very old, the engine will need a complete rebuild, and there may be some bits missing. We recommend the car is viewed to ensure you know and understand the work needed, or use for parts, although the vendors would really like to see their fathers pride and joy back on the road. Offered for less than you could buy the engine alone in the hope that we find somebody to love it again.
