Lotus Elan Turbo 1990 offered for sale.

Bought on a whim 12 months or so ago, prior to the vendors ownership the car was in long term storage which helps verify the mileage shown. Used virtually daily whilst in the vendors ownership and the vendors states the car drives very well, and with the roof down it really is a pleasant way to get around. The bodywork is in generally good condition, helped that its GRP, it does appear to have had a couple bits of paintwork in the past, but cleans up really well. The seats have patina consummerate with being 34 years old, but have responded quite well to leather food. Pretty good on fuel, and 40mpg is achievable on a steady run.

The vendor would suggest a gradual improvement as time goes by but is perfectly useable as is, has the occasional niggle like both electric windows giving up the ghost (prob relays). The roof is weather tight however anyone who knows these cars will know the seals were questionable even when new. Wheels refurbished and good Toyo tyres all round.

Original book pack, service history and the vendor has sourced spare keys which just need cutting. Even has the original sales invoice from Peter Smith Cars from new. The vendor has tinkered with it whilst having it, sourcing a new radio aerial, fitted a new battery and replaced the brake pads following an advisory on the MOT.
