Jaguar XJ6 Convertible 1985 offered for sale from a private collection with a rare 5 speed manual gearbox. This must be a one off chance to own a convertible series 3 Jaguar XJ and with an even rarer 5 speed factory fitted gearbox. The car is said to be in superb condition in all aspects and a joy to drive.

The car is now just 40 years old and was converted in 1990 to a cabriolet. There is an invoice in the history for the Cabriolet conversion, which was carried out by Cabriolets International. In 1992, the car had a speedo change. The old speedo was showing around 87000 miles and the replacement (which was second hand one) was showing around 20000 miles when it was fitted, and the now current speedo shows around 32000 miles (has only covered 12000 miles since 1992). Overall, the vehicle has covered around 99000 miles. 

The vehicle has had thousands spent on it over the years to keep it to a high standard. Recently it has had new front calipers, pads and brake pipes, and a new battery. There are invoices to show the parts and work carried out recently. This car has been in a collection for some time and is ready to be used by a new owner. There is a large folder of invoices MOTs and other documents that need to be read. There is a couple of jobs that need to be done N/S front window switch is worn and needs to be replaced as the window does not operate all the time and you need to keep flicking the switch. The switch for change over for the fuel tanks is not working, and has been left in one position so it works on the driver's side okay.

There is a roof cover and full indoor cover for this car. There is also a full Jaguar Tool Kit that has never been used, a spare wheel and jack. There is also two sets of Keys and the car has an MOT till May 2025.
